Rose Keating Career Consulting is a blog, resource, and career consultancy all about helping women identify, pursue, and ultimately land kick ass career opportunities.
My goal as a Career Coach is to help you figure out what you want to do, and show you exactly how to get an amazing job that you will love.
What does an amazing job look like? You won’t mind going to work every day, you will be energized by your job, and you will work in an environment that fosters your growth and capitalizes on your strengths. You will have great colleagues that encourage you and make you laugh. You will do your best work, while contributing to something that is bigger than yourself.
I will show you how to get focused on living the life of your dreams, unbury your talent, turn autopilot off and start making moves!
THIS I BELIEVE
I believe that every woman can do anything she sets her mind to, if, and ONLY IF she makes a commitment to consistently take action towards her goals. I believe the most successful people in life are not exceptionally talented, intelligent, or charming – they just know the rules to the game and consistently take action. I’m here to help you take action that will change your career and your life.
I believe that there is no shortage of jobs, because there is no shortage of problems in the world. If you can show a company that you can solve one of their most pressing problems, you will have a job, and a well paying one too. You just have to believe in yourself, learn how to communicate your strengths, and be willing to go outside your comfort zone.
My interest in work place psychology began in high school, and only got stronger after I completed my degree in Organizational Behavior at Boston University’s School of Management. From my time working as a Recruiter in the staffing industry, I have the inside scoop on what hiring managers look for, and I know what goes on behind the scenes when hiring decisions are made. I am a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC), and have helped people meet their career goals at Northeastern University, The Cambridge Women’s Center, and of course in my own business Rose Keating Career Consulting.
Before becoming a Career Coach I gained experience working in the banking, pharmaceutical, higher-education, and business services industries. I have had INCREDIBLE jobs and terrible jobs – and I know the difference. I’ve definitely made some serious mistakes in my own job searches, and one of the reasons I became a Career Coach was to teach others what I have learned the hard way.
I have been published in BostInno Magazine, and as a member of the Career Counselors Consortium, and the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches, I am constantly learning the latest about what’s working on the job front, and what’s not.
I believe that you can land your dream job if you have the right tools, encouragement, and mind set. I know it can be done because I’ve done it myself. Not too long ago, I was in a job that wasn’t right for me, feeling like my soul was shriveling, terrified to leave the comfort of a good salary, a nice title, and the well-paved path to success. When I finally stopped and asked myself some big life questions, I realized that I had a dream job in mind, and that I had to start taking action to create change. I had to get really clear on what really mattered to me in life before I was ready to quit my 9-5 and started my own Career Consulting business – but now that I’ve done it, I’ve never been happier. My goal is to help you evaluate your options, focus on what’s important to you, and give you the tools to land your dream job – even if you are not sure exactly what that is yet!
