“Rose’s counseling was the very best thing that I did for myself throughout this difficult time and I could not be more pleased with the results. I come away from this experience with a job offer in hand, and a renewed excitement and direction in my career.”
I reached out to Rose because I had just been laid off and wasn’t sure about my career direction. I needed someone who could help me figure out what I really wanted in life as a whole. I needed a career counselor who could help me to conquer my fears, misconceptions and insecurities. I really needed someone who could help me dig deep and get me to ask myself the right questions. Rose’s counseling was the very best thing that I did for myself throughout this difficult time and I could not be more pleased with the results.
Rose really “gets it.” She gets what it is like to be a woman in the workplace, trying to navigate the waters successfully because she’s been through it herself. Rose makes me feel so comfortable that I have felt comfortable asking her every single question, even the ones I’d otherwise feel too insecure to ask my peers. The methods that Rose uses are quite analytical, which is also a reason why I loved working with her. The assignments she gave me were targeted precisely to help me clarify what I wanted in life and in my career. She obviously spent quite a bit of time reading what I had written for these various assignments and pointing out patterns and helping me decipher what they meant. She also coached me along to make sure I wasn’t slacking off in my job search, and is still there for me via email if a quick question pops up. I trust her advice implicitly.
I come away from this experience with a job offer in hand, a renewed excitement and direction in my career, and a brand new arsenal of “tricks of the trade” in terms of successfully interviewing and negotiating for a job. In only four sessions, she helped me more so than two years of career counseling at a fancy business school! I recommend her whole-heartedly and plan on keeping her in my life for as long as I’m a working woman.
